Membership Basics


Membership

  • Membership is open to anyone who has moved to the greater Chapel Hill area within the last 3 years.  (The greater Chapel Hill area includes Chapel Hill, Durham, Carrboro, Hillsborough, Pittsboro and other nearby towns.)  
  • Major life-changing events, including divorce/separation, death of a spouse, retirement, etc., also qualify a person for membership.
  • New members are welcome to join at any time.
  • There is no limit to how long a member can remain in the Club.

 

Membership Benefits

  • Members have many opportunities to build new friendships and connect with others who share similar interests.  
  • Members choose from a variety of interest groups that focus on discussion, entertainment, food & drink, games and recreation.
  • Members enjoy experiences and outings which highlight the many cultural, social, civic, volunteer and educational aspects of this community.

 

Club Goals

  • The Club promotes social interaction and community well-being, while respecting the dignity of all members regardless of age, ethnic origin, religious preferences or sexual orientation.

 

Annual Dues

  • Family Membership (two people) - $78
  • Single Membership - $39

 

Membership Access

  • Members enjoy full membership in the organization.
  • Members are given password-controlled access to the Club's website which contains a current membership directory.
  • Members receive email invitations to all-club events, as well as to activities for which the member has expressed an interest through his or her online member profile.

 

Club Rules and Governance

  • All members agree to the terms of the Joining Agreement and the ClubExpress Terms of Service at the time they join the Club, and they agree to the terms again at each annual renewal.
  • The Club’s governing documents include Bylaws, Standing Rules, Cancellations and Refunds Policy and the Joining Agreement, which are available on the web site and upon request to all prospective members.
  • This Club operates as a non-profit, incorporated social activity group.  The promotion of business interests or advertising of any kind is prohibited.
